We are currently seeking an elite Counter Sales Professional—someone who understands automotive parts, values accuracy, and delivers a first-class customer experience every time.
Job Summary: The Counter Sales Professional will be responsible for assisting customers with their inquiries, locating and selling parts, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of automotive parts.
Annual Pay Range: $50,000 - $75,000 (commission-based)
Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Indoor Auto Recycler/Dismantler to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role are to efficiently and safely dismantle vehicles and salvage usable parts, and properly dispose of hazardous materials in an indoor setting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of automotive components, excellent mechanical skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to handle hazardous materials, such as batteries, fluids, and airbags, ensuring proper disposal according to environmental regulations.
• Dismantling Vehicles: Carefully disassemble vehicles, ensuring that all reusable parts are removed intact, and catalog parts for resale.
• Parts Identification: Identify and label salvageable parts, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, body panels, and electrical components, with accuracy.
• Quality Control: Inspect and test parts to ensure they meet quality standards before they are added to inventory or prepared for sale.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of parts, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and logged into the inventory system.
• Tool Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment used in the dismantling process to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including sales and inventory staff, to meet production goals and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Previous experience in automotive dismantling, repair, or recycling is preferred but not required
• Mechanical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive components, with the ability to disassemble and identify parts accurately.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously dismantle vehicles while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Safety Conscious: Commitment to follow safety and environmental regulations.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer operations, including email, word processing, and internet navigation, is required. Familiarity with inventory management systems is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
• Primarily based in our indoor, climate-controlled facility, with occasional exposure to loud noise, automotive fluids, and varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Regular lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as required.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Requirements:
• Pass a physical agility test
• Including, but not limited to, lifting 50lbs several times and walking a half mile without stopping.
• Must supply own basic mechanical tools for vehicle dismantling.

Position Summary:
The Yard Technician is a key member of our salvage yard team, responsible for the safe and efficient removal of parts from salvaged vehicles and the processing of vehicles for resale or recycling. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow typical of the Midwest. The Yard Technician will handle a range of responsibilities, from dismantling vehicle components to preparing and organizing parts for inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
● Parts Pulling:
• Safely remove requested parts (e.g., engines, transmissions, doors) from vehicles for customer orders or inventory.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and occasionally heavy machinery to retrieve parts without causing damage.
● Vehicle Processing:
• Prepare vehicles for dismantling and recycling, including fluid draining, battery removal, and tire removal.
• Maintain accurate records of processed vehicles and parts to ensure up-to-date inventory.
● Organization and Inventory:
• Organize and maintain the yard by labeling, sorting, and storing salvaged parts in designated areas.
• Conduct periodic yard checks to confirm that all vehicles are accounted for and organized according to yard layout.
● Maintenance and Safety:
• Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent accidents.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous materials properly.
● Customer Service Support:
• Occasionally assist customers with locating parts and understanding salvage processes.
• Help load or transport large parts for customers as needed.
Working Conditions:
● Work on feet for extended periods and work in extreme outside weather conditions.
● Proper protective equipment will be provided to ensure safety in all weather conditions.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in an automotive or salvage yard setting is preferred, particularly with part removal and vehicle processing.
● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, work on feet for extended periods, and work in extreme outside weather conditions.
● Basic knowledge of vehicle parts and their locations within vehicles.
● Proficient in using power tools and hand tools.
● Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
● Must possess a basic set of mechanical tools to complete part removals and general repairs.
● Any relevant certifications in automotive repair or heavy machinery operation are a plus. ● Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and commitment to maintaining a high standard of work.
